Yeah, so I wanted to write a post and publish it as my 100th post, marking a century of posts that I have written for the blog. However I forgot and I wrote What if Charities Didn’t Exist? and Busker Flow before I realised my mistake. So if we can just ignore the fact that I can’t remember the plans that I’ve set out for myself and ignore the other two posts in the count…

YAY I’ve written 100 posts and this is the 100th (102nd really!), let’s celebrate. I’ve got my party hat with the stretchy piece of string keeping it on my head and a party blower thingy, whilst streamers are going off in the background. Well done me!
Actually I am a little proud that I’ve been able to keep this going for over a hundred posts, with notable help from some lovely friends who have guest written a post or two. And I do really appreciate the fact that people actually read my rambley shit. Bless you all. I really enjoy writing, I have since upper school. I had a couple of teachers who encouraged me to write stories and twist language, mould it, to create something interesting. I do try and be intriguing and fashion a narrative for the reader to get sucked in by and follow. Even when I am being a bit ranty about politics.
I didn’t know whether it would work for me. I thought it might become a bit of a ball ache and it would drop off quite quickly because I’d run out of things to write about. Apparently I’ve got a lot of shit to say. And even though it was my idea, I wasn’t overly sure about sharing all the personal things that I have shared. I’ve become more confident in being able to write exactly what I want to write without censoring myself. Sometimes though when I write a swear I do hear my Mum scolding me for bad language (hi Mum!) It’s been fun and frustrating all at the same time.
Lastly, I do want to put a call out again for anyone who would like to write for the blog. It’s been helpful for me to write about many things, to get them off my chest, I feel privileged to have this platform and I’d love to share it with you. If you think you have a blog idea, let me know and we can work together to put something ‘down on paper.’ Email me at: catchup@abridgedblog.co.uk O!
