My post titled The Fucking State of British Politics… Still was about the shit state our politics is currently in. Well things have moved along and I don’t think for the better. Keir Starmer has resigned as Prime Minister and as Leader of the Labour party and he’s not contesting to be leader which is surprising to me, I did predict he would. And Andy Burnham has made the trip down from Manchester to try and be what he most covets, Prime Minister. Will there be a contest? Well Wes Streeting said he’d be up for it and he immediately folded so at present there’s no one in his way. Knowing the Labour party, they’ll put up a paper candidate so there is a contest and end up electing that knob instead of Andy B. The fucking state of them.

Just a note on the grasping fuckwit that is Wes Streeting. What a cuboid waste of space. He’s all mouth, well he likes to brief in the background, but when it comes to it, he just doesn’t have the numbers… because no one likes him. I think it’s the naked opportunism that sloughs off him like flakey old skin. Anyway, Keir Starmer did some good shit whilst in government but you’d never know because he or his team never told anyone. Anyway, it’s still a mess and we’ll have to see how it all shakes out. Get ready for Prime Minister number 7 in 10 years. We’re a fucking joke.
Anyway, some fun things have happened. A massive congratulations to the Northampton Saints on winning the league and then going on to beat Leicester in the semis and win the final. Don’t ask, it’s about money. I watched from home by myself, but I tend to do that nowadays when it comes to the rugby. I really enjoy watching the Saints, I get to shout and swear at sport and I love it. Then I get upset because Dad isn’t there watching with me. Actually not that he would have been there to watch the final because he would have been umpiring the cricket, but you get what I mean. And interestingly knowing Dad, he wouldn’t have been able to watch the second half because he always got the jitters when tight games were on and he’d go and stalk the garden whilst listening out for winning noises and rushing back in when tries were scored. It’s a weird feeling to be so happy that your team has won the final, but so sad that Dad isn’t there to enjoy it with you.
O and Emily and I went to Cheltenham for the night. We stayed in a fancy guest house, it was cool and helped me make a good choice based on the stand alone air conditioning unit that was in the room. I bought one over the weekend and now my house is cool during this really hot weather. Anyway, Cheltenham is a great place, we had a lovely Italian meal, saw a good show called Thespians, a comedic musical about Greece by Mischief Theatre. I’d follow those guys anywhere, love their stuff. And we did another Escape Room, made it out in 53 minutes, we’re a bloody good team.
Keep safe and hydrated and lotioned up in this hot weather.
