This has been an interesting year. That’s possibly an understatement.
I started this blog as a way to help me express myself and at the same time, I’m arrogant enough to think that maybe others might like to read my ramblings. My first post was on 7 May and this last post of the year dropped into your eyeballs on 31 December. It’s been fun writing the blog, collaborating with others and just getting shit out there. I’ve written about vaccines, Brighton, Hamilton the Musical, Pockets on Dresses and fuck loads about politics and my absolute distaste for our current government, amongst other subjects. Anything that flicks that switch in my brain that interests me… or just plain pisses me the fuck off.
This year, covering seven months, I’ve published 43 posts. The blog has had over 700 visitors and over 2000 views of pages / blog posts. I really could not have asked for a better reception and reaction to what I put out there. I’m so happy that many have come to read and have stayed with me, throughout the weeks. The most viewed post is Alexander Hamilton. The least viewed is A Birthday Trip to Bath. Give it a read, it’s good:
In fact, you can read all of my posts as the blog has a handy archive section and has translation abilities. Catch up on any over the new year. I bet they’re good if you can’t sleep. And I’ve had visitors from all corners of the earth: U.S.A., Italy, Australia, Ireland, China, Canada, Ecuador, India, Hong Kong and France. It blows my frazzled brain that I’ve been read in all of these places.
The one thing I’d like to achieve with the blog next year is to have more guest authors.
