That’s right baby! I’ve managed to work out what the fuck I need to do to ensure you can now listen to me do this shit. So not only can you read my mad scribblings you can listen to them as well. August 2025 is here and seeing an update to the blog and this will be a lot of extra work for me relatively speaking, but I think I’m going to have fun with it. Welcome to the future my pretties. I was thinking this might actually change how I write my posts. My style is conversational anyways and I do use the swears every now and then but with this extra dimension I will probably start writing my posts with how I’m going to actually orate them in the back of my mind. There may be a few less swears, or fuck it, there may not be. You may see less of the ‘C’ bomb, but cunting hell, maybe not! Sorry Mum. Mum doesn’t like that word and I get told off for using it and actually I get told off if I use too many swears in a post. Sorry again Mum. I have let you down, I have shamed the family name! Anyway, enough of my shame. Hopefully in the future, most (not all, fuck off, sometimes I just won’t be bothered) but most will have audio as well and I will go back and record audio for posts that I particularly like or are affecting when I feel like it, or when I need to pad out a week. And there will be some added extras in the audio as well, might as well flesh it out a bit. I’ve actually seen that I can record my voice and have it transcribed which would then be posted. But I enjoy writing so I’ll do it this way round. O and there’s a new page on the website with an archive so you can always go back and listen to my sultry voice whenever you like.
Now did you watch the football? I watched the football. Well to be honest, I missed the first half, but I managed to catch the second half and the extra time and the penalties. I really didn’t want it to go to pens because we were rubbish in the penalty shootout in the quarter finals and also it’s more stressful. Anyway we won! Fuck me, double European Champions, back to back, with a world cup final in between. Well done to the ladies and their manager. They play a good game and their grace and class is evident when watching them. Hardly any diving and lots of getting stuck in.
And fuck me, they’re bloody hard. Lucy Bronze, I was gutted when she went off because she’s a got a hell of a penalty in her, played the entire tournament with a stress fracture in her tibia. Hannah Hampton, goalkeeper, has an eye condition that can affect your depth perception. You need that if you’re a keeper. She was awesome. They’re just bloody good and they need to be congratulated for it. And they’re positive role models. More like that please.
